MY THOUGHTS

I received a gift certificate to spend at Personal Creations. They have a LOT of lovely things that can be personalized, all of which would make a great gift for anyone including yourself. In other words, it’s a great place to look for personalized Mothers Day gifts. They’ve got cookware and serving dishes, household items, home decor items, clothing, garden items, items that can be personalized with photos, and jewelry, just to name some of the main categories. After browsing for almost an hour I decided to treat myself to a personalized casserole dish.

The covered rectangular casserole dish holds 3.5 quarts and measures a generous 14 1/2″ L x 10 1/4″ W x 6 1/4″ H. It’s available in red or blue. We recently started changing out kitchen colors to black and brown, after years of nothing but blue. I love blue but I chose to go with the red so that the color would really pop when serving at the table. This casserole dish is made of glazed stoneware and is safe in oven, microwave and dishwasher. I really like that it isn’t an ordinary casserole, it can be personalized as you like using one or two lines of text that can hold up to eighteen characters each. The dish is super colorful. The lettering is etched into the stoneware, not just painted on like some. It’s a very pretty dish, something you could actually display as a decoration when not in use.  Plus, think how great your dish at a potluck or open house or party would look in this too!

Note of interest on the level of customer service from Personal Creations. My casserole arrived broken. I don’t mean like with a chip, I mean shattered, despite the fact that it was packed quite well. I telephoned that evening and the rep apologized and arranged for a replacement casserole dish to be sent right out. She said it would arrive by May 7 and it arrived yesterday afternoon. Excellent customer service, no muss, no fuss, just made things right. Kudos to them! I am very pleased not only with the product, but the company as well.
