Genius Fridge

What do you imagine the kitchen of the future to be like? Recently I saw a gorgeous fridge whose setup I loved. It stored food, obviously. It played music. It could access a few apps right from the door, including a recipe database app. It even had a feature that stored expiration dates of the food in the fridge. I think it even had a feature to use an online timer. Basically it used a lot of smart technology. I know that there are some home entertainment items out there that use smart technology, where you can access things like DVRs from your smart phone. Now I don’t know about you but I’d love to be able to access my refrigerator from my phone. Not specifically the food of course, but rather information about that food – what is in there, what the expiration dates are, and what isn’t in there. So a combined inventory list and a shopping list. Why would this be helpful? Because I do keep a grocery list, but unfortunately have been known from time to time to forget the list when I go to the grocery store. Which makes it somewhat less useful. Then I have to call the hubby, if he’s home, and ask him to read me the list. He grumbles when that happens. If the technology was built into my fridge I could get the info myself from my phone. I bet this is the way that appliances are going to keep progressing, they’re going to get smarter and more capable. It could be called a genius fridge, LOL. If you could add any one feature into a refrigerator, what would it be?

I HATE the misuse of the word retarded. I take it personally and find it very offensive.

I used to list all freezer contents. Problem is I often forgot to enter some items and other times forgot to delete what I took out.
