REVIEW – Hershey’s Air Delight Chocolate

I love chocolate, as does everyone else in my house. Hershey’s is definitely a favorite so I was excited to be offered the opportunity to try their latest product – Hershey’s Air Delight Chocolate.

MY THOUGHTS
I received samples of the new Hershey’s Air Delight, in both the kisses and candy bar form. I opened a candy bar while hubby opened a bag of kisses. It was much easier to see the texture in the candy bar than the kiss – you could actually see that the chocolate is bubbly, not solid like a regular Hershey’s bar. Now I know Air Delight Chocolate was designed to be savored, that the hope is you will eat it slowly and let it melt in your mouth. I am sorry to report that I got a bit impatient and the candy bar met a quick and untimely death. I could taste a difference as well, even though I ate it like a regular bar. The chocolate is still very smooth but it’s a much lighter and airier texture. I tried harder to restrain myself when I tried the kisses. Some of my favorite candies are small and meant to take a while (such as Jolly Ranchers), so for me the kisses were easier to savor and just let dissolve in my mouth. Once I just let it sit in my mouth like it’s supposed to I could really taste the light and airy flavor of the chocolate. We enjoyed the Air Delight very much and will definitely be eating it again.
Hershey’s Air Delight Chocolate is available in 1.44 oz. single-serve take-home bars and 9.4 oz. bags of Hershey’s Kisses and is currently available nationwide at mass, grocery, drug and convenience stores.

All the senses contribute to a good nibble. Curious as to how this chocolate’s density will affect it in a taste test along side the original.
I saw these at Wal-Mart several weeks ago and grabbed a bar for my husband and me. We did not care for the bubbly texture, and I felt as if we gobbled it up twice as quickly as we do the regular bars.
this is new to me, not sure if I would like them better than the regular kisses. off to hunt for a coupon to give them a try.
