The goal of the program is to encourage kids to give to others.  I think it’s important to teach our children the value of community service and helping others. Not long ago I formed a local Special Olympics team and our track and field program just started. I was so touched by the number of volunteers that came forward offering to help, but I was especially pleased to see how many of them were children.

    Visited HereAndThere.US and commented on the Disney TRON Legacy – TRON The original Classic 5-Disc Set Review. Before reading, I had no idea why there would be 5 discs to this set. I still don’t need so many considering I don’t have a Blu-Ray, but at least understand.

    Went over to Game Review Network and commented on the Wii Sports Resort and Wii Party to Deliver Big Social Fun at an Even Bigger Value. I learned that you need the Wii Remote™ Plus controller to play these.

    on the 3rd sat of each month our family volunteers with our church Share Food Ministry. We arrive at the church by 7:00 am and work until around 1 in the afternoon. Once we get there it is nonstop of unloading the semi truck of boxes of food and sorting out the boxes. Our church feeds 100 families each month, the little ones tag along and they help organize our chips and bread area. We have been doing this for about 15 yrs now, the kids know they are making a difference on volunteering their sat for the families in need. If we didn’t step in, the program would not exist. Our big guy decided to do his BSA Eagle Project and give back to the church by planting various trees on the church property. He wanted to give back to them, because they have given back to the community by helping these families.
