Farm Rich Kids Who Give Giveaway
By valmg on May 15, 2010 with Comments 19

A while back we got the opportunity to try some new Farm Rich snacks. We enjoyed them so much that they were added to our list of “must haves” for the chest freezer. That’s the list of items that I like to stock up on. Inevitably it seems that I wind up buying most of my stock up items all at once. Then when I get home I need help emptying the car, and get TJ to come to my rescue. TJ can be a really good boy, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his Mom.
Recently Farm Rich launched a national program to recognize the good kids, the ones with a strong understanding of the meaning and purpose behind giving to others. The program is called Kids Who Give (www.kidswhogive.com).
Kids Who Give is a national search for outstanding kids ages 7 to 17 in the US that donate their time to charities or individuals in need. Five winners will each receive a $300 gift card, $1,000 to contribute to the charities of their choice and a special Farm Rich care package. To learn more and view online entry forms, visit www.kidswhogive.com. Submissions will be accepted until June 15, 2010.
Kids Who Give is an integral part of the Farm Rich brand’s commitment to bettering the communities they serve. Over the years, Farm Rich has supported individual sports leagues and volunteer organizations that benefit children and families. In addition, Rich Products Corporation supports People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH), a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing the West Side of Buffalo, New York. In addition to recognizing youth already involved, Kids Who Give aims to empower more adolescents and teens to pursue community outreach. The web site also features practical tips and tools for getting started, interviews with kids and video diaries of the contest winners being active in their neighborhoods.

My son is 8, and planted his own garden last year. When it was time to harvest, he shared his harvest with our neighbors who have very little. i’m not sure f that counts, as it’s not volunteering..but i’m still very proud!
