Yoplait Save Lids To Save Lives Awareness Giveaway

The topic of breast cancer is a serious one. I mentioned yesterday how one in eight women, or 12 percent, will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life. Dr. Kristi Funk, Founder of the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Beverly Hills teamed up with Yoplait to help educate people about the importance of breast cancer risk reduction, early detection and ways to support the cause. During the past 11 years, Yoplait has donated more than $22 million to the breast cancer cause through Save Lids to Save Lives and other initiatives, and last year, participants across the country helped Yoplait meet its $1.5 million donation goal to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year Yoplait has promised to donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for every pink Yoplait yogurt lid sent in by the end of the year. They’ll donate up to $1.5 million, with a guaranteed donation of $500,000.

October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month, may be ending but that doesn’t mean that it’s too late to help the cause. There’s still plenty of time for you to help by participating in the Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives drive.
