There are many days that I feel like I don’t get a chance to sit down from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. On days like that we’ll usually have sandwiches. Sandwiches have a purpose but after a while they taste pretty much the same. You know what I mean. Sometimes they taste like, well, sandwiches. For some reason a sandwich out always tastes better, more gourmet, than a sandwich you make yourself. Oscar Mayer recently came out with a line of gourmet sandwich kits that offer a tasty meal that only takes a minute to prepare.

Each of the items in the sandwich kit are sealed in separate packages of their own. I like this because it allows the person making the sandwich to put what they want where they want in the amount they want. To make the sandwich you just unwrap the ingredients, assemble and heat.

For RB and I we thought that the amounts in the packages was just right. We were both surprises at how fresh and soft the rolls were when it was time to eat. My favorite is the Parmesan Basil Turkey – the creamy basil parmesan sauce on the bread with the melty cheese is absolutely delicious. The only place both RB and I found room for improvement is in the slicing of the roll. The roll looks like it’s sliced so we pulled it apart. It wasn’t sliced all of the way through so it tore the bread and split the sandwich in half. We used a knife on the others. We enjoyed the sandwiches. It’s enough for one  but I think it would also be great split between two people and paired with a soup or salad.
