Here’s this week’s questions. We’re in the middle of a Noreaster and I have hot comfort foods on my mind.
1. Chicken soup. Regular or creamy?
2. Do you have a stew recipe?
3. What’s your favorite hot comfort food?
4. Do you like chicken fried steak?
My answers are:
1. Creamy is my favorite.
2. I don’t, which is why I’m asking.
3. Toss up between my corn sausage chowder and my creamy chicken soup.
4. Oh yeah!

1. regular with rice or noodles
2. yes/no–pinch, dab, and dash of salt (minimal), pepper, parsley, thick slab beef (browned first in pan on stove), fresh veggies including garlic, onion, carrots, celery, peeled potatoes, any maybe can tomatoes (depends on mood); into crock pot; simmer at low heat long
3. potatoe perogies topped with ham, canadian bacon, or bacon and fried onions
4. yes as well as chicken fried steak
