What I learned from Four Foods on Friday #18

Steak cooked nicely needs no help.
I don’t like carbonated water. I do like flavored water and plain bottled water.
Waffles. Tough one. I like chocolate chip waffles but I also like waffles with strawberries and whipped cream on top.
If I was getting a new small appliance for my kitchen right now I’d replace my coffee pot. Aside from that, a new four slot wide toaster.

Of course, those are only my opinions. Here’s what I learned from this week’s players in Four Foods on Friday #18. There were 19 people that joined in, which might be the most ever. The overwhelming choice for water was plain.

Blair would like a food saver and likes plain water. On 12/01/04 she sounds like she’s pretty handy with a lock pick. Hmmm.

Lori S would like a fry daddy and likes water with flavor sticks. She participates in a weekly “Show and Tell” that includes pictures of some pretty neat items she’s got.

Lisa doesn’t have a blender and likes water with Crystal Light. She’s got a Bacon and Garlic Chicken recipe on her new recipe site that sounds yummy.

Judi would like an espresso machine and likes distilled water. She recently played Heads or Tails with the letter P and has some interesting pictures up.

Kelly would like a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and likes plain water. Kelly was a bit under the weather recently. Hope you’re feeling better Kelly! There’s flu and whatnot going around over on this side of the bridge. Kelly was so tired recently that she sort of forgot where she was. I had something like this happen once too, it’s very confusing.

Sarafina wants a larger food processor and likes plain water. She’s alsoshared a recipe for Southern green beans.

Karen needs a new toaster oven and likes plain water. Karen recently celebrated a birthday, took a trip to Florida, saw a lunar eclipse and had her laptop die.
For all of you that need something to chop ingredients. It was on Karen’s site that I found a contest at Melissa’s Place where the prize is a mini chopper. You can earn entries by commenting, blogging and submitting a recipe or learning activity.

Corrin would like a toaster and likes both plain and sparkling water. Corrin started her new job this week. Congrats Corrin! She’s also got a recipe for mini pound cakes for Valentine’s Day but I’m pretty sure they’d be good any day.

Chili Queen is a new player. Hi Chili Queen, glad you found us. Chili Queen would like a juicer and likes plain water. Chili Queen has a food site as well, complete with a recipe for homemade fried rice.

Madelein is wishing for a pasta maker or bread machine, and she drinks both plain and flavored water. Madelein also had a minor birthday party mix up recently.

Skeet would like a stand mixer and likes plain water. Take a moment to check out the fun Tuesday Teaser game each Tuesday, and she’s recently reformatted it. Skeet’s also posted some new pics from her daily travels, she lives in Hawaii and takes great pics.

Val’s another new player. Welcome Val! Val would like a blender and likes plain water. She’s into programming and code, and recently wrote her own bucket list.

Blueyes doesn’t need any appliances because she’s got a magic bullet, and she likes flavored water. Blueyes wrote about something a while back that I just recently read, it makes a good point about emergencies.

Elle might get a digital pressure cooker, and often drinks plain water. Elle has recently shared the rules of life that she has discovered.

Sandy needs a new can opener, and likes plain water. Sandy also had some pics up for Heads or Tails with the letter P.
It was on Sandy’s blog that I found out about the Pippin Party Birthday Plate contest for a Department 56 set of 8 Happy Birthday plates, which look really cool. The contest ends on 03/01/08.

Lynne could use a new iced tea maker but also is starting to want a roomba, and she likes plain bottled water. She’s put the cutest pic up for Wordless Wednesday this week.

Ami-Chan would like a food processor, and likes plain water occasionally with Crystal Light. If you like sushi, Ami-Chan’s got a recipe with pics up on how to make maki sushi.

Laura doesn’t need a new appliance because she just got a new yogurt maker, and she likes plain water. You’ll find some really great tips on ways to reuse things in her Frugal Fridays article.

Elizabeth wants a kitchen aid mixer, and is not a fan of water but will drink it plain or flavored if need be. If you want to know how to make fluffy cheese omelettes, Elizabeth has not only directions but pics too.
